An excursion to MANALI (Himachal Pradesh) was organised for the students of Faculty of Mass Communication and Media Technology (SGT University). It was a six day trip that started on 26th March. First year media students were part of the trip under the supervision of two faculty members.
Apart from extensive field and class-room teaching, SGT University provides for its students, the moments of enjoyment coupled with learning in a fun-way. For media students, this trip included group exercises like shooting a Video-Travelogue, a Photo Feature Essay while they had fun either being playful in the white Himalayan waters or in the lap of snow capped peaks or shaking a leg at the Bon-fire and DJ Nite at their Hotel.
Students visited many places like Beas river, Beas kund, Jogini water fall, Hidimba Devi temple, Club house during the trip. They returned on 31st March after finishing the trip. Now students will prepare projects on the basis of this Manali trip like Photo Feature, News writing, TV programme Travelogue.
