Extension cum Outreach Program on World Water Day
Faculty of Mass Communication and Media Technology organized a special outreach program cum extension activity in a remote village in Gurugram. The program was organized on the eve of World Water Day and the objective behind organizing the program was too aware the villagers about the importance of saving water, its scarcity and by listening to their problems related to the drinking water and sanitation. During the program students of Mass Communication, along with experts from the Department of Allied Health Sciences visited Village Jhanjhrola in Gurgaon District. Where they got an opportunity to interact with Mr. Dilip, member of Panchayat Committee who kept his views on how villagers are struggling with poor availability of fresh water Mr. Dilip told how villagers are using the 3’R principal – Reduce, Reuse & Re-cycle. It was a brilliant opportunity for the students of Mass Communication to understand rural reporting and addressing the issues of common people in rural India.
