Importance of Communication Skills

Communication is considered to be a human craft. Communication is considered to be a unique gift to human beings by God. It is not just a transfer of thoughts but an effective way to share knowledge and gaining experience. I consist of different ways to communicate our ideas to one another – the way we respond to others, gestures, tone and pitch of our voice, and many more.

Effective Communication is considered key to success not just in the business world but in our day to day life as well. A person with good communication skills is a valued resource for any organisation.

Students starting their school journey require communication skills to become good leaders of tomorrow. Communication involves four skills; LSRW (Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing). Good writers always choose the path of being a good novelist or news editor. A good speaker takes the opportunities like reporting and anchoring.

‘Stage is their best friend, and speaking is their passion’. A good listener is demanded everywhere and no matter whatever skills you have, being a good listener is the most appreciated skill. Today, our generation requires all four skills to feel their presence in this technological jungle.

Communication is no longer a barrier. A barrier is what we have constructed in our minds. A good communicator never lags behind no matter what the situation is. A balanced mind can handle everything, and it is reflected in how the person communicates.

A good communicator is the one who handles all the emotions running like a storm in his mind; however, he would never compromise with the way of communicating with the world. Self-belief is another element which comes from being a good communicator.

Communication is the most indispensable part of our lives. You are nothing if you cannot adopt this art of Communication. The only strength required in every field and every sphere of life is communication skills. In today’s world, driven by technology, it is the most basic requirement to communicate effectively and efficiently. We should put all our efforts into being effective communicators.

Dedication and self-motivation are the only fuel you require to achieve the title of being a communicator. Humans are immortal, but people remember our thoughts and words. This is the only legacy that we leave behind.
