SGT students bagged award for second Best Film at ‘Avlokan Film Festival’.
Students of BFTP at Faculty of Mass Communication and Media Technology, SGT University bagged two awards at the AVLOKAN short film festival, organized by the Faculty of Media Studies and Humanities (FMeH), Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies, Faridabad.
A short film “System Badlega“ directed by Ajay Bharadwaj of BFTP won the second prize which included a Trophy and a cash prize of 10,000 INR, whereas another film “Ishwar Allah Tero Naam” directed by Gautam Rawat of BFTP received consolation prize and a trophy. During this two day event, SGT University competed with other prestigious Universities and Institutes such as Sharda University, IIMC, YMCA New Delhi, Islamic University of Science and Technology Kashmir; Amity University Noida, Makhan Lal Chaturvedi University, IMS, Noida and many others. The jury who judged the entries included Mr. Aditya Seth, a well-known documentary filmmaker, and academician who is also a producer/writer/editor. Dr. Mihir Ranjan Patra, Filmmaker, writer, and academician, presently he is Associate Professor, at Dept of CMT, Guru Jambeshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar and Mr. Rakesh Yogi, a journalist with vast experience in television programming were also the part of the jury. The winning team was facilitated by Mr. Sanjeev Bhanawat, Dean of the faculty of Mass Communication & Media Technology, SGT University in presence of distinguished media personalities.
